Detonados, trapaças e dicas do R.C. Grand Prix de Master System

Temos vídeo até o fim, grana infinita e walkthrough.

10 de janeiro de 2024

Neste post, reuni detonados, trapaças e dicas do desafiador R.C.

Remote control cars were all the rage back in the late 1980's. It was only
natural that a racing game would be made featuring these. The aim of this game
is to win through a series of increasingly difficult races and become the grand
champion remote control car driver. Placing last or running out of time in any
race means it is game over!

after each race as follows:

1st: $100 and $1 for every second remaining.
2nd: $50 and $1 for every second remaining.

The drag race is meant to be a bit of a break. It is the only time when you are
racing that you DON't hold down button 1 the entire race - doing so will cause
the motor to overheat and you will stop. Watch the meter on screen to know
when to take your finger off the button, wait for it to drop a bit then hold
down the button again.

This race is only held in 2, 3 or 4 player mode.

There are 5 parts that can be improved on your vehicle. Each part has either
two or three possible upgrades. My advice - ONLY buy the Ultra parts!

Motor:

  High Torque Motor $120
  High Speed Motor $140
  Ultra Motor $180

Motor upgrades make your car MUCH faster. They drain the batteries though.

Tires:

  Improved Tires $130
  Ultra Tires $190

The most expensive parts, these make the car easier to corner.

Suspension:

  Improved Suspension $125
  Ultra Suspension $180

Similar to tires, makes cornering easier.

Gears:

  High Torque Gears $120
  High Speed Gears $150
  Ultra Gears $180

Gears will make your vehicle a bit quicker, but not as much as a motor will.

Batteries:

  High Current Batteries $130
  Ultra Batteries $180

Batteries increase your vehicle speed and the power boost will last for the
whole race, unlike a motor upgrade.

Only buy Ultra type parts. Anything else is a waste of money. Can't say this
enough.

All tracks as shown are raced anticlockwise. In every case (except for the
drag race of course), the first corner is a LEFT turn.

Hold down button 1 at all times for every race (except the drag race) - there
is no need at all to not do so, even if you get stuck by turning too early.

Where there are crossings on a track, you can push vehicles onto the wrong
track. Not advised, but still fun to see a car disappear into the distance.

There are multiple ways to get through the game. I buy the following parts
after the following races (1 player):

After Race 2: Ultra Suspension
After Race 4: Ultra Batteries
After Race 5 or 6: Ultra Tires
After Race 7: Ultra Gears
After Race 9: Ultra Motor

I have found this will get you to the end easily enough. Buying the Ultra
Motor previously to this makes the competition a lot closer in later races.
Much harder to win consistently if you do, however you will finish races
faster and get more cash - assuming you win of course.

Race 6 is the most difficult race with the above strategy. It is difficult in
any case though - too many turns! The tires don't help much, it is possible to
be able to afford them after Race 5, but you will only have a few $ left. Race
8 is quite hard too due to the continuous cornering.

The drag race is vital in multi player mode for the extra cash. First gets $50
and second gets $25 (from memory - been a long time since I played with more
than one person).

Computer cars get stuck on certain corners on certain tracks - notably Race 2.
Makes the race easy if you can avoid them, as you are under little pressure.

Cornering is not as difficult as you may think. Don't listen for the sound,
which alerts you of corners too late in later races, rather look for the
arrows which are on one side of the track at MOST corners. If you come to an
intersection with no arrows - do not turn. There are one or two corners total
which don't have these arrows.

Note - there aren't any yet, so I made some up.

Q: Drag Race? I didn't get this after Race 5?

A: The drag race is only played when 2 or more players make it through Race 5.

Q: Can the game be beaten without buying all the Ultra parts?

A: Potentially. I have made it to the last race without buying ANY ultra parts,
however I probably only made it 2/3 of the way through the 2nd lap of this
race (with the second best parts in each category).

Q: I can't make it through Race X (Insert number for X)?

A: Try buying different parts in revious races? Strategy as well as skill is
needed to be the champion, especially wit multiple players!

Q: My friend bought the Ultra Motor, I couldn't as it was sold out. I can't
keep up to the other cars now! Why?

A: This is one of the interesting features of the game. When you buy a part,
the same colour car that you are using will also get these parts when the
other players are racing. As an example, Player 1 (Red) buys the Ultra
Motor. In the next race, for Player 2 (Blue), the Red car will have an
Ultra Motor equipped. You can use this to REALLY annoy the other players,
but be aware it won't win you any friends. In addition, the race two after
you buy the parts, ALL computer opposition will be fitted with the parts.
Basically buying a part will give you an advantage for one race only.

Q: Can I choose the colour of my car?

A: No. Player 1 will always be red, Player 2 will be blue, Player 3 will be
Green and Player 4 will be Purple.

Q: Is there multi player racing?

A: Not racing at the same time, no, unfortunately.
